The 2 on the flywheel housing keep the the engine from torquing and the front kept the engine down in front. They were never a problem. The second series in 55 used a strap for a motor mount in front and they broke. I am building a 302 GMC with a 3-2 setup and dual point distributor for a 50 GMC and I will use the stock mount. | | |
