The last 8 digits are the same as the ones stamped on the original engine(which is not in the truck). I have a plate with a number but it is not on the the pink slip. Do I need to take the old engine along to the DMV to let them see matching numbers for my verification? Where do the first 8 digits come from on the ID? What is the best way to deal with the DMV considering I already started the paperwork and just need a certified weight and someone to verify? | | |
