I have personally done the power steering conversion on a number of my '64-'66 Chevy trucks, as well as the factory power brake booster conversion. By far, converting a '64-'66 C10 to power steering is well worth the time and effort. For the money, there is no better upgrade than adding power steering. Factory power assist steering was available of these trucks which utilized a ram for the power steering assist in conjunction with a power steering pump and a manual steering gear box. I had a few of these trucks when I was young and never thought about such a conversion, but driving is much more pleasant with power steering, especially in parking lots, drive-thrus and backing.
