When I put an alternator on my 235 I ended up welding together a new bracket made out of 1/4" plate. Slotting the holes didn't work, one of the holes ended up under one of the bracket uprights.
If you click in the pencil & pad at the upper right of the post you should be able to remove the image link in the text. It looks like this: [ IMG]http :// www .xxx. com [/IMG ] I added extra spaces so it wouldn't try to display an image.
