Well, we've finally jumped into our project with both feet. One fender will serve as our test subject and we're busy stripping it down. Several on the forum suggested the nylox stripping disc and it certainly works as advertised. Not quite 'hot knife thru butter' but awfully close. Turning our attention to the underside of the fender we find gobs of rust. Most did in fact come off with a combination of the nylox disc and wire brush but there is a stubborn/deeper patch that runs the length of the fender where you can imagine water/gravel impacting. What to do boys? Just primer over this, use a rust stabilizer ?? Thanks again all for the help.
