The 1950 brake system (Huck Brakes) is significantly different from the 1954 brake system (Bendix Brakes). The backing plates, spindles, and other and brake system parts are different.
I found that when I went to inspect my brakes that one side had huck brakes and the other bendix, which lead to my axle rebuild. I have all the components for the bendix brakes now.
Should I swap the spindles then with the ones with the correct size rather than drill the holes out to a larger dia?
