For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 19 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 19 | i have a 63 C-10 with a 79 350 V8. i have had an oil pressure problem. when the truck is cold and i crank it up the oil pressure guage will max out 80psi is the highest it will go but it will pass 80 and hit on the stop at 0 (probably right around 100psi when it hits). after the truck runs for a 3-5 minutes and warms up the guage will go down and run around 50-70 psi at idle. what is causing such high oil pressure? another thing if i would give it any gas after i first cranked it up it would blow the oil filter seal out the side and start leaking oil. i am pretty sure the guage is accurate. Thanks YC | | |
