Looks like either the front of the fenders/grille are too high or you need to fix the cab front mounts. The cabs are identical except for the trim. The hood gap will close up correctly if the nose is dropped. GMC's and Chevies have different frames and radiator mounting setups due to the longer GMC engine, so you need to make sure the nose is mounted to the radiator frame correctly and that the radiator frame is mounted in the right spot.
