If you have a crank reground to say 0.020" under sized, you then need to buy 0.020" over sized bearings. You always want to plastigauge the clearances after you have the crank done to make sure the machinist did the job correctly and verify he gave you the correct bearings. Also make sure the lock tang on the back side of the bearing matches up with the notch on the top edge of the bearing journal. Crank should turn easily by hand even with all the caps torqued. The initial fitting should be done before the main rear seal is installed.
