Because of this thread,I just completed installing a set of 3:38 gears in the ’58 and taking my first test drive.
All I can say is darn, what a nice change. Still enough low end to work, but a significant difference on the highway.
I had a good friend that did the pumpkin set up (I mostly watched), but can say that the rest of it is a pretty straight forward job and well worth it.
