My '50 Chevy 2 ton COE, model 5700, had 8.25 x 20 tires and was one inch shy of the top of my 8' door. I researched this very carefully and when I arrived with my new prize, discovered that I had forgotten about those tall cab marker lights!! Had to raise the door header, get new garage door panel, etc. So don't forget about those lights if you have them. And if you have them, you gotta keep them, they are part of the character of the truck.

Also, I would not recommend letting air out of the tires if you have split rims, could be dangerous.
