For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 159 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 159 | I put a jeep cherokee fuel tank in my Dad's '49 3/4 ton. I un-bolted the original mounting straps and was able to use them to mount the tank from underneat the frame - using the tank seam (where the two halves were welded together from the factory) - as a flange against the frame. We had to trim about 1/8" off of the insides of the frame rails but it fit really well. Used a filler cap from a boat supply shop and mounted that inside the bed. Hope this helps!
