my drivers window doesnt move up or down. I totally removed the regulator and the gear seems ok and moved when the handle is cranked, but it doesnt manipulate the window. my gear piece has a approx. 4" piece of steel on it that appears to have the un-connected end broken. the piece looks kind of like the window tabs would roll through it but they are to small to not fall out of the channel of this piece. all photos I have found show the other side of the regulator, so I cant see what this piece does. does this piece attach some how to the window to make it go up and down? I have the bottom channel of the window screwed into its channel so it os connected and the small piece towards the door lock edge is there and one end of the window scissors fits in ot ok. this small broken piece somehow has something to do here but.....
