The actual dwell setting for this engine is 28-32 degrees. Because dwell angle increases as the points wear, it is recommended to adjust the dwell angle toward the lower end of the range(28). Also remember!! After you adjust the dwell you MUST re-time the engine......dwell angle directly affects engine timing and should ALWAYS be checked and adjusted BEFORE engine timing is dynamically set.
