guys.
i hate to sound dumb, but it has been probably 25 years since i have worked on a points type distributor, so i need some help.
a friend has a 54 chevy truck with a 70's 350 engine in it, with a points and condenser distributor.
i am gonna give him a hand this week tuning it up, and need to knwo what the dwell setting should be for this engine ?
what would you set the points at, to get it started first ? .020" ?
and i cant rememebr what to hook the 2 wires from my dwell meter up to. both wires from meter to the coil ?
i never thought i would forget these things, but i have been messing with electronic distributors too long.
