Here are two sizes of 54/55 front hood emblems. They are both stainless steel. I am not sure what might have been the material for the the third size listed in the FAM.
My question was about earlier Advance-Design front hood emblems being stainless steel.
The 1953-1955 hood side emblems were of the same design and were chromed die-cast metal.
