I have a 52 Chev 3/4 ton pickup and want to upgrade the brakes. At the very least I want to install a dual m/c with power booster. 3/4 ton trucks still had Huck brakes in 52 and I am concerned about their performance. I plan to use the truck for its original intended purpose and am worried about brake fade with heavier loads. Would the huck brakes with power booster be sufficient? My other option would be to buy a 6 lug front disc kit for a spare 48 1/2 ton axle that I have and find a 6 lug rear truck axle that would fit. (55-59?) I would appreciate any comments or guidance on this subject. Thanks | | |
