on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Everything was fine until one of my compressors stopped compressing. It is a 20 year old Devilbiss. I took the head off and there was daylight between the cylinder and ring. This morning I cut a strip of copper flashing and re-sleeved the cylinder. I clamped it all the way around marked the end cut it and silver soldered the end. Then I filed down the solder and ran my hone through it. The top of the cylinder rolls out at the top so I was able to tap the copper over to keep it from moving down. I didn't expect it run at all much less blast for 6 hours. It managed to run all day without a burp. I guess it is time to start the search for a new one. | | |
