I just had the same problem on a 235 that someone gave Me I wanted to run the engine before I put it in storage to rebuild later it turns out that the PO had adjusted the lifters and the intake on # 2 was to tight and was staying open no compression adjusted the valves and engine runs great , so I would do a compression check , it does not sound like a elect. problem .
