I've been messing with it for three days now and am getting nowhere. I'm trying to drop the crank but the dang oil pump won't come out. I can barely even get a wrench up to the bolt and even when I can it just rounds it when I try to turn it. I tried vise grips, and even that couldn't get it out. I even tried heating it some and nothing.
Is there some trick I'm missing? I'm at wits end with this thing.
Engine is a '53 216.
