The center two of the six bolts that hold the two side covers on. The front bolt of the rear cover and the rear bolt of the front cover. The regular bolts are a flanged bolt with a seal under the shoulder. These two bolts for the coil are the same with a threaded stud above the hex. A nut(2) holds the coil on and the hex part spaces the coil out from the covers.
The internal coil type HEI has tree wires from the coil to the dist body. One of those wires is a ground wire for the coil, because as you can see, the cap would insulate it from ground. The external coil type HEI has only two wires from the coil to the dist, because the coil and the dist, share a common engine ground. If the coil is on the fender, you need to check and make sure you have a very good fender to engine ground.
