I recemtly completed a conversion to stainless on my 66 Short fleet w/ power brakes. I purchased a kit from inline tube. The kit had 5 six foot sections of 3/16 tube. They included lots of extra fittings.

The material was easy to bend & cut but I could not get it to flare for anything. I tried two local hydraulic shops & the second shop was able to get the flare correct about every other time on average.

My truck had a 1/4 line from the master distribution block back to the rear axle tee so I had to get 12' of 1/4' from Inline to complete the project. I have about 10' of 3/16 left over.

I like the look of the stainess & knowing that I won't ever have to replace or worry about rust out again, but next time I'll buy a prebent/prefit kit.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
