you better do a little more research on those 2 engs weights. when I removved the 453 and 5 speed the frame went up 2 3/4" and when the 283 w/t5 went in it only went back down a 1/4"
bare 453 weighs in at 1150lbs, 283at what 565 lbs and everything else that attaches to either varies quite substantialy
