He has a bunch of 265s and 283s. We were talking the other day about putting a 350 in his '57 wagon, and one of the approaches we discussed was to take the heads and manifolds from one of the old motors to disguise a 350.
Back in the fuel crisis days of the 70's I built a 350 with 283 heads that was pretty economical and real responsive. It just ran out of power at a slower RPM than it could have. You might try that approach...
