I've got riveted 8R19.5's on my 1958 3800. They are original to the truck. Made by Kelsey Hayes. One piece rims. Hub piloted wheels (not stud piloted). Have the smaller holes for the studs (I'm thinking 7/16 but not for sure).
Mine hold air just fine, but were in fairly decent shape. If yours hold air, then I would not weld them.
