I just finished my cast iron exhaust manifolds using the VHT factory Grey paint. I wire wheeled them, then gave them a quick blast with garnet media before painting them using multiple thin coats. The directions include a curing process of 30 minutes at 250 degrees, cool 30 minutes, 30 minutes at 400 degrees, cool again, and a final 30 minutes at 600 degrees.
Came out looking great and the wife was not ticked I used her oven. Put in new studs in after the paint process.
