I have two of these rear ends in my 1932 Chevy's, I just looked at them and that is what you have, 1955 to 1957 passenger car. They work good, will stand quite a bit of horsepower and are the right width for the '54. The same housings were used in Corvettes of that vintage, and I have a center section from a '59 Vette in my '32 pickup. It is a little beefier that the pass. car one, but bolts up the same. They have a great range of gears too, from 6.17 down to 3.08
