Who gets "charged" for bytes transferred if the bytes transfer from my photo server to the viewer's browser? I understand how The Stovebolt page might be charged for bytes-transferred by images hosted on the Stovebolt Page webserver.

On the other hand, displaying pictures (rather than links to pictures) that are hosted on a non-Stovebolt Page server would be an inconvenience to a person using a dial-up connection (they would only want to spend timing loading images of interest).

It seems to me that Stovebolt Page server bandwidth and/or bytes transferred (by the Stovebolt Page server) are not impacted by photos hosted on a poster's server (and served directly from the poster's server to the viewer).

If I am wrong about this, would someone explain how a photo hosted from my server would produce a charge (transfer bill) to anyone but me (it is quite possible that I have totally incorrect/confused understanding of this concept).

Either way, Red58 is correct that the etiquette on this forum is to post links to images rather than using the UBB "IMAGE" (display hosted image) option. We should all follow the site-etiquette.
