If it runs better when you turn the distributor housing one way or the other and you get to the point where you no longer can move the housing you need to carefully pull the distributor. Move the rotor/distributor shaft one tooth in the direction opposite of the direction you turned the housing and it should smooth out. This should get you close enough to set the timing. | | |
