Jay, I just finished grinding and removing all brackets from my 84 cutlass rearend and the reason I took the rear is because of the price and the mileage was only 80,000 (less than my '48 has on it)I also purchased my leafspring kit , wich included the shock mount brackets and spring perches to weld on in the right location (center of the wheel well)that tork tube rearends folks have to contend with, brought from:www.truckandcarshop.com funny thing is that the kit came from
www.cpp , but i bought it cheeper from tha truck shop! ? go figure. Good luck and make sure u check your pinion angle before you weld.
