I was aware of having to fabricate a cross memeber/motor mount. I have also read about the clearence issue for the steering, I have someone to help me with that.

SteveSr, why are those specific year bell housings important?

I have an old cast iron bell housing someone gave me to bolt up to a 72 4 speed transmission (which I never used). How would I know if it is the right bell housing to use?
Casting numbers?
Bolt patern?
