After mounting up some spiffy new brake lights on my Grumman, I carefully noted that they did in fact work.
Some weeks later, they stopped. The turn signal switch arm felt a little funny, so I went ahead and pulled the steering wheel and dug down to it.
What I found was a dislodged spring/contactor. I bent it to look like its opposite. Things are working now, but I still get an intermittent failure that some jiggling resets.
The spring/contactors {viewed as a pair in the mount} have a heart shape to them, and a plastic tab from the signal arm sits between them to move the spring/contactor and close the circuit.
Any idea where I could find some spring/contactors?
Being a Grumman {where they seemed to use whatever was available}, I am not sure of what year Chevy the turn signal switch is from, any help there?
