The reason you liftera are noisy on a cold start is because the oil has "leaked" down and after running for a minute it builds the oil preassure back up in the lifter galleries. Then they quiet right down. This is pretty normal for hydralic lifter engines. Mine does it on the first start of the day and after sitting for a few hours.
