i just purchaced a rebuilt 235 from my local machine shop and got everything installed got it running and the lifters were quite noisy. after i ran it for awhile the noise went away. the next day i started it up and its real noisy again sounds like a diesel. i did prime the oil pump before i first started it. does it matter which way i hooked up the oil lines to the oil filter? could i have a bad oil pump? one way of checking is to take the top of the oil filter off, right? there is no oil pressure guage. thanks
