Hy step67, If the truck was never equipped a 292 from the factory it would involve a lot of fabricating to install it, if it would fit at all, different mounts are needed and it is physically taller than a 250. Hope this helps you make up your mind, I'm not trying to scare you just make you aware of whats involved.
