Get yourself a couple of 3/4 x 4 in bolts and cut the head off of them and taper the ends where you cut the heads off. Then cut a slot in the bolt for a screw driver at the tapered end. Screw these bolts into the top holes of the bell housing for alignment bolts. Inastall the transmission on the upper bolts and use them for a guide. Works every time. These alignment screws can also be used when installing a 6 cyl head to keep your gasket in place when installing the head.
