For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 45 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 45 | The box we got was from a 1960 and we needed to fit it to our 63 (both LWB) I was once told by someone that a couple of the brackets won't line up but in reality, they all needed to be moved inwards. Not a huge deal though as it only took 20 minutes to drill out the spot welds so I could reuse the brackets. I'll just bolt them down in the correct loctions this time (truck won't be used for hauling anything) or should I weld them back in place?? All the cross members are solid with no rot at all so plenty of strong steel if welding IS required. Any and all input appreciated. Doug | | |
