| | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 | The same tie rod was used on Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickups from at least 1937 through 1954 second series. I would check and see if they used that tie rod in 55-56 also. They didn't change this stuff back then that much. Chevs of the 40's has tie rods - you might try them.
I believe the key to finding a bunch of these parts is to identify the years and models in which they were used, especially mechanical. A clue to this thinking is the fact that they used the 216-235-261 engine design and parts from 1937 to 1962.
