what I did after installing a new piston and doing a valve job, is just drive it. will change the oil this weekend (after approx. 200 mls). just take it easy the first 15 mins or so, and after a few days, run it for half an hour and adjust the valve lash. retorqueing essential bolts is a good idea, plus: check everything for the first few days.
