I'm trying to determine the displacement of the engine in my 1955 3200... I took your advice and copied down the numbers on the block, but when I compaired it to the list I found off of this site it said it could be either a 235 or a 261. These are the numbers I got: the engine casting number says 3837004 with GM5T nearby; the serial # says 0532002T255S with a larger C at the end; finally, I found a number between the starter and the block and it said CGNV1 10J17 55 (I'm not sure if the C and G are correct though... I was having a hard time reading it). I didn't notice any captain's marks on the block, but I could have overlooked them. If anyone has any information or could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
