I recently bought a powerglide rear end from a 1952 car to swap into my 1940 1/2 ton pickup. I ordered axle seals from Chevs of the 40's and they were listed as 37-54 all. The seals I received are way to small for the powerglide housing. The existing seals look to be 1/2 inch bigger all the way around. Has anyone had this problem? Also I noticed the ball seal kit is different for a powerglide. Will the truck ball seal fit the powerglide torque tube or will the powerglide ball seal work with the standard transmission? I need help! Thanks
