I went to buy some parts from a guy and he showed me his fabulous restored 1954 Chevy 1/2 ton pick up that has a split seat. About 1/3 of the seat is on the driver's side of the split with 2/3 on passenger's side. I asked the guy why the seat was split but he didn't know why. He said he believes the seat is original and although it is a rare item he has had several pick ups with the split seat among the many trucks he has owned over many years. Does anyone know which trucks came with the split seat or other information? Thanks.
