Take a look at The 1941 Shop Manual (Thanks to Keith Hardy) and you will note that the bolt and nut attach to the clutch fork. There should also be a return spring attached to a bracket just forward of the flywheel housing. Procedures for repair and adjustment can be found in the shop manual also.
