Any of you guys (and gals) (and anybody else) know:
1. What kind of tire jack was original on the 54 half ton, and
B. Where was it kept?
I have an axle jack, screw-with-the-tire iron-type, I got from a friend who deals only in 55 to 59 trucks and he showed me the clip behind the bench seat on the driver's side, if I remember correctly, and it's attached to the floor near the gas tank. The 54 doesn't have any such attachment, only the space under the seat but there is no clip or strap nor nuthin' to keep it and the iron from sliding around. I suppose the owner's manual would show me (but I ain't picked up a replacement one yet! Did just about everything else though...)
