I'm just gearing up to do this..
I bought a 79-84 Toyota 4 x 4 box(must be a 4x4)-(did they call them land crusers?)I just bought the bracket,drag link and pitman from CPP. I believe the # of U joints depends on how well you line up..depends if you're open to moving the steering wheel a bit. You'll need custom hoses. I'm using an old generator/power steering pump combo...original Chevy equipment. Yes hacksaw the original.
Haven't put mine in yet..but I understand from those that have done it that this system works well.
