It is with great interest that I read this thread and completely agree, I too bought some repoped door handles for my '64 since the "originals" consisted of someone welding a long bolt to the spleened axle
. Anyways, one handle fit ok, the other one the thread was stripped out of the box so I had to rethread it and use another bolt. My question to all of you is, how can we discern between good and bad repops? Sometime we need to buy new since old ones just aren't available. Could we start a list or something of supplier/part and peoples rating? I need to get a lot of parts for my truck but frankly I am weary of spending tons of money on "ok" parts that wear out quickly. Ideas?
