Buy a 56-62 water pump gasket and a 1954 or earlier water pump gasket. Use one on each side of the plate (with a little gasket sealer - trust me, I did this install on two trucks last summer).
If you do not receive installation instructions with the plate, check back here (I did not receive instructions with either plate I bought off eBay).
