Does anyone know how to attach a stock shifter to a SM420 tranny? I recently did a swap from a 3-speed to a 4-speed and am trying to install the shifter. The top of the transmission has 2 holes on either side where it would seem 2 pins would fit to hold the shifter in place, but there were no pins in the tranny when I got it.
I tried using 2 roll pins (5/16") but they were too big to fit in the hole. 1/4" would seem to be too small
Does anyone know what to use?
