For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 | i personally would take the block and crank to machine shop to get it checked. let them tell you if you need to get .010 bearings if they need to grind crank. they can also check the bores to see if you need to go with oversized pistons/ rings. that's what i would do to get started. if you order some "kit" before you have all the info it parts of it may not work. i like to hunt around for nos parts on ebay and save a little cash. the gasket set is the same for the 230/250/292. 2 kinds of timing gear sets as long as they are a set they will work. you wil have to make some decisions on if you want to replace everything or reuse some stuff. when you are asking about info are you needing torque specs specific to the 250 or info on a first time rebuild? | | |
