My 57 has 2 brake lines off of the master cylinder, One is 3/16" going to the left front wheel, one is 1/4" that travels across the frame and then tee's. One line then goes to front right wheel and then the other line back to both brake cylinders on the differential. There is a banjo type fitting on the back end of the master cylinder that has the 2 connections. I beleive this is the original set up. I am in the process of repairing the brake system now and have elected to stay original.
